MISSNCA

Boy do I... Miss California... I'm not sure that's what the AZ license plate meant to say, but that's what I saw when I read it... If I ever get Utah plates I will have to see if that one is available!

Fish Heads

I went on an outing with my brother and the fam on Saturday and we spent a little time watching the kids fish (by fishing I really mean the kids had poles with no hooks, but they had fun anyways). I put out a chair and sat down and what was looking back at me? A fish head, a rolly polly fish head (insert Dr. Demento song here).

Summer Vacation

I went on a little vacation to a place called Bandera, Texas (hill country). A good friend and I went to a dude ranch. We had a blast. It was all inclusive, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus two trail rides a day, and lots of other fun stuff to do! Meals were served in a little dining hall where we ate (family style) with different people almost every meal. They had a pond and access to fishing poles, a swimming pool, ping pong, tether ball, horse shoes, and nightly entertainment. We had a great time!

Leo

While I was in California I couldn't pass up a trip to the beach! While it was a little chilly for swim suits, we decided to go look at the tide pools at Leo Carrillo. The tide was coming in when we got there but we did find some fun sea life!

SB Zoo

RIP Giraffe with the crooked neck...

On Sat a group of young (well mid anyways) single adults from the area went to the Santa Barbara zoo. We had a lot of fun!

The Great Olympic Sport

This past Saturday Kristen and I and about 98+ people learned the history and basic rules of curling. I really had no idea about all that goes into that sport. I actually didn't watch it during the Olympics, but I heard all about how it shouldn't really be a sport. Who knows about that, but I had fun that is for sure!

Schools out for the summer (don't I wish)

Yeah I wish school was out for the summer... then I wouldn't be dealing with the constant anxiety of driving in the snow. This past Tues was probably the worst day I have had here in Utah. I tried twice to go to my internship, but the roads were just awful. I ended up turning around both times and spent the rest of the day at home. It was frustrating! But now school is out for the winter break, and I actually have mixed feelings. My little group of school counseling students has spent much of the past year and a half with students from the licensed professional counseling program. Wednesday was our last class together. Its funny how people say they will call, get lunch, hang out... but it never happens. I would love to think I will see these people again, and some I might. but for the most part I will never see these people again. School and with that, these classmates, have been a major part of my life lately... so its a little sad. But! At the same time, one more semester under my belt, and one more to go! Crazy to think about it.

I ♥ LA

Somewhere in the middle of LA, on a freeway on the way to the happiest place on earth (no not Agoura), We drove by this little floral mural... yes flowers, rose parade like flowers, on the side of the freeway.

One cute little courtyard

I went back to California for my fall break and while I was there had the opportunity to go back to CSUCI, where I found one of my favorite little places.

In-N-Out update

They are going to start taking applicants in November!
